Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress!

Blackstone Fortress drops this Friday just in time for Black Friday, and delivers what is easily one of the coolest WARHAMMER box sets we’ve seen in a minute.

As vast and dark as a sunless void, the Blackstone Fortress is a creation far beyond the ken of any race in the galaxy. In this age of darkness, in a galaxy riven with strife and horror, the desperate and intrepid alike search this Fortress for long-lost technologies that may be used to turn the tide of war.

In Warhammer Quest Blackstone Fortress, you and your friends take on the role of a group of disparate explorers delving into the labyrinthine halls of a vast and ancient space station. Only by working together and balancing your strength and skills can you hope to survive. With each expedition, you will discover powerful archeotech and learn more of the Blackstone Fortress’ closely guarded secrets, including, perhaps, the location of its greatest treasure. The game can be played solo, or with up to 4 friends, with the fifth player controlling the hostiles. At the end of each expedition, the players return to the nearby port city of Precipice to rest, recuperate, and trade their loot for resources that will aid in their next adventure.

Come by this Friday, and scoop up your copy!

Architects of the West Kingdom!

SO many cool new board games this week! ARCHITECTS OF THE WEST KINGDOM is set at the end of the Carolingian Empire, circa 850 AD. As royal architects, players compete to impress their King and maintain their noble status by constructing various landmarks throughout his newly appointed domain.
Players will need to collect raw materials, hire apprentices and keep a watchful eye on their workforce.
These are treacherous times. Rival architects will stop at nothing to slow your progress. Will you remain virtuous, or be found in the company of thieves and black marketeers?

The aim of Architects of the West Kingdom is to be the player with the most Victory Points (VP) at the game’s end.

Points are gained by constructing various Buildings and advancing work on the Archbishop’s Cathedral. Throughout the game, players will need to make a lot of moral decisions.
However, only at the game’s end will their virtue be judged. A few underhanded deals here and there might not seem like much, but fall too far and you will be punished. The game ends once a set number of constructions have been completed.

We’ve been super booked on NARCOS on NETFLIX, so when we saw that one of our favorite game designers, COOL MINI OR NOT, was doing a board game inspired by the world of NARCOS — we knew we had to give it a shout out!
The drug war is in full swing in Colombia, and the man who controls the biggest operation is known as the Patrón. His enemies are numerous, and they’ll stop at nothing to bring his empire to its knees. He will have to avoid his would-be captors, as he moves from one Location to the next, using his many properties as hideouts in a high stakes game of cat and mouse.
In Narcos: The Board Game, based on the Netflix original show, one player takes on the role of the Patrón, while the others become the Factions forming a tense alliance in their search for the cartel kingpin. Unfortunately for the Patrón, his Sicarios leave behind clues to his Location, allowing the Factions to close the net. Are the Patrón’s days numbered, or will he find a way to escape his pursuers?

DAH Rules!
This league is designed as the ultimate Commander experience, walking a balancing act between being competitive and show-casing more inventive cards. Most importantly the focus is on FUN!
Players will be randomized into pods of 3 or 4 and will have 60 minutes to duke it out for Weekly prizes, earning placement points, AND a sheet of 8-10 achievements which get added to their league total!!

• 7 weeks of achievement farming ; the 8th week is a championship comprised of the top 16 points earners from the season.
• Placement points: 1st 4pts ; 2nd 3pts ; 3rd 2pts ; 4th 1pt
• In a 3 player pod 4th place doesn’t exist so you would get the 3rd place points if you finish last.

• If you present a lethal board state, you cannot choose not to use it to farm achievement points.
• If a player wins via infinite combo OR presents a board state the rest of the pod agrees to concede to, that player receives the highest placement points they can, and the rest of the pod continues to play.

Weekly Prize Payouts: (not including achievement points)
12 points: 6 packs
10-11.5 points: 4 packs
7-9.5 points: 2 packs
Participation Prize: Sign-up for the league guarantees players at least $20 in prize packs!

While there are some restrictions on character creation and rules variance, it allows a fair play across the board to allow the flexibility of travel and play.

If you are interested in playing AL at Third Eye you can ask questions or sign up for the wait-list at our online web portal.

They also select two Basic Action Cards. Constructed games are played at 20 life. Rounds last 30 minutes and then are judged based on life totals.
A player may not bring two characters with the same name, even if they have different subtitles (i.e. Wolverine: Wanted, and Wolverine: Canucklehead).

NEVER PLAYED? No worries! Andrew Miller will be running the event and can teach you everything you need to know to get started. Plus, many of our top players started not too long ago and love introducing new players to the game!

WHAT IS DICE MASTERS? Basically, it’s like a trading card game, but with dice! In Dice Masters, two players take the role of masterminds directing the actions of a team of powerful supers (represented by dice) to battle each other! Each turn, you’ll roll your dice to see what resources you have available, buy dice, send your team members into the field, and then strike at the enemy mastermind. Reduce the opposing mastermind’s life to zero, and save the day!

Dicemasters is a dice-building game (similar to deck-building card games) where players collect and assemble their team of character dice and battle in head-to-head gameplay.
